“Back in 1983 at Dandenong Ice Skating rink there was an accident involving one of the rink’s 2 DJ’s. The uneffected DJ began to run out of music, and started repeating what he’d already played distressing the owner.  At the owner’s request, the DJ played a compilation of 12” singles off a tape Rob had made that day. The skater’s and the owner loved it, and at the end of the night Rob was offered a job as the rink’s third DJ. This was the accidental birth of Rob Cyberman DJ.

Sneaking out to club’s each week (underage) to hear new tunes, Rob soon started to amass a large collection of 12″ vinyl and a following at his High School.  Birthday Parties and School Dances kept getting thrown his way by the truck load.  In the late 80s Rob turned from New Wave, Euro Disco & Hi-NRG to the then emerging sound of House & Techno.  Techno became entrenched in his life, and so did the desire to put on his own events & Club nights.

In 1994 his dream became a reality with the launch of his own club night Climax with long time friend Scott Alert. Rob’s DJing has landed him many club gigs and taken him interstate on 3 occassions, and still continues to be his passion to this day.”
