Ho ho ho! Grab your tinsel and mistletoe and head down to the One More Tune Christmas party for a festive get down. This month we welcome back to the decks three DJs who are close friends of the party and never fail to deliver: Thad Lester, Siddhartha Goharda and Slogress.
Expect a stocking overflowing of quality techno, house and progressive from 4pm under the sun in the heart of Collingwood. We are very lucky to have an inner city outdoor space where we can play the music we love at a high volume – so get there early for drink specials (TBA) and to catch birthday boy Slogress’ warm up set.

NEPTUNE PROJECT (UK)
Neptune Project – A duo who are creating their own legacy in trance with not only their unique vintage production sound, but also due to the global demand of their extended sets. So many fans have been left in sheer amazement after witnessing these marathon performances, which can only be described as ‘the ultimate journey’ in trance.
Not only have they had releases on all of the major labels including Anjunabeats, Armada, Vandit, Subculture and Future Sound of Egypt, they have also remixed for Above & Beyond, Paul Van Dyk, Aly & Fila and produced an incredible modern take on Pink Floyd’s music.
Neptune Project also released another original piece last year entitled “Lost All Your Tears” which captivated the hearts of trance fans all over the world as one of the most powerful and emotional uplifting tracks in quite some time. After the success of “Lost All Your Tears”, the duo went on to produce a brilliant remix of their biggest inspiration, using Pink Floyd’s “Shine On Crazy Diamond” and samples from the iconic “Dark Side Of The Moon”, entitled “Shine On The Dark Side Of The Moon”. The track skyrocketed and quickly became a massive part of numerous artist’s sets throughout the summer of 2014. The track was initially set to never be released, but after immense success it was decided that it was too incredible to be kept for their own.
Fast forward to more current times and Neptune Project is one of the most sought after trance acts and producers in the industry, who currently are touring all over the world and show no sign of slowing down. In 2013, the duo’s track “The Inside” featuring Polly Strange was featured on Armin Van Buuren’s Universal Religion 6. Dan and Jules also had the opportunity to remix one of their biggest supporter’s, Above and Beyond’s tracks “Sun in Your Eyes” which in their eyes, was a major milestone in their career. After 5 successful years of releases on Future Sound of Egypt Recordings and Armada, Dan and Jules are currently venturing out on their own, with their new label Mythology.
With their own Mythology label focused solely on their own productions, combined with the platform Amplifyd, Neptune Project are a strong driving force in the trance community.

The Coburg Night Market is back in 2018 for its ninth year!
Every Friday evening from November 30 to December 21 with bands, DJs, food, drinks, and loads of stalls.
Coburg Night Market has a very exciting musical program – your soundtrack to the market’s food, drink and artisan offerings each Friday from November 30 – December 21.
Under the experienced and tasteful guidance of Emily Ulman, the Coburg Night Market’s weekly performances have been curated to showcase the wonderfully diverse and consistently impressive local music scene. Each week’s event will play host to two stages: one local independent record label’s hand picked line-up, and Hope St Radio DJs providing the tunes to keep the vibe going.
Following to last week’s announcement of November 30th’s Aarght Records stage take-over (featuring Parsnip, Drug Sweat, J.McFarlane’s Reality Guest and U-Bahn, with Hope St’s Bayu and Moopie), three new hot line ups from local labels House of Beige, Lost and Lonesome and Hysterical Records have been added, completing the 2018 program.

The program includes pop-up performances and soundscapes for audiences to enjoy alongside dining in the NGV Gallery Kitchen.
A residency program of Melbourne DJs perform each month in the NGV Garden, with the series featuring ambient dance music duo Albrecht La’Brooy in December; the pop stylings of Eilish Gilligan (DJ Set) in January; and the good-time record collection of Pjenné in February. Indian Summer performs across March and Wax’ o Paradiso features across the final Friday and Saturday night performances in April. In the NGV Garden, the 2018 NGV Architecture Commission by Melbourne architecture practice MUIR and landscape architecture studio OPENWORK will be on display alongside stone sheep grazing, crows pecking and a horse galloping as part of Julian Opie. The NGV Great Hall will also function as a lounge, where audiences can settle in and soak up music from the garden.

Following a sold-out Australian debut in both Melbourne and Sydney, elrow family return for another round of dance-floor theatrics and a carnival atmosphere. Those who experienced the magic last time know what they are in for! Those who missed out can expect one of the craziest parties on the planet!
Life’s a carnival so you’ve got to get dressed up for the occasion and getting pimped up Brazilian style, isn’t like going to your office party. Just grab a few feathers, drag out your grandma’s old boa and start working those hips, Samba style.
Crashed DJs, pulsating rhythms, wild animals, lost explorers and fun-loving jungle dwellers. What’s to go wrong? Pretty much everything, but a healthy dose of samba and carnival soon electrify this eccentric and assorted crowd. Lost in the foliage anything can happen and you’re right in the middle. So get dancing!
elrow is very excited to bring the return of John Digweed after a hiatus from Australia. The legendary UK DJ returns alongside Canadian rising star B. Traits. She is joined on the bill by Elrow residents: Tini Gessler and Toni Varga and Hot Creations/Crosstown Rebels stalwart Kevin Knapp. Sydney and Melbourne will also be treated to local heroes.
“The Catalan carnival are planning world domination through colour, costumes and Tech House. Elrow has a strong claim as one of the fastest-growing, explosively popular parties in the world. Most of their events – where a popular version of house music known as ‘Tech House’ is combined with an overload of costume, colour and flamboyance, regularly sell out 2,000, 4,000 or 6,000-capacity event spaces within a few hours. What started as a party on the outskirts of Barcelona, in the last two years has gone to Johannesburg, New Caledonia and Peru, as well as most major centres of nightlife in the Western world, with Antarctica now the only continent untouched by the brand. “We have five teams that can deploy shows in five continents on the same weekend,” says Vicenc Marti, president of the company. Asia is the current new frontier, he reveals, with shows in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao and the “Japanese and South Korean markets” being established.

Babylon Fall returns one more time this year for a Christmas Special!
Join us for Melbourne’s premier night of Dub, Roots, Bass and Sound System Culture on December 22nd @ The Sub Club.
Since the birth of Babylon Fall we have been blessed with some of the best DJ’s and producers from around the world. For this Christmas special edition we are exited to highlight a massive line-up of local talent.
In the spotlight we welcome Pugilist for an extended set. Arguably Melbourne’s most prolific Dub producer (with releases on leading labels ZamZam sounds and Artikal Music), Pugilist seamlessly blends genres from the deepest ambient dub techno through to Dub-Step and Jungle. His eclectic taste makes for a dynamic set and we can’t wait to let him loose at prime time this December.
Get ready for an education in foundation Roots music as PBS FM’s Rick Howe (Riddim Yard) is joined by Cassa Warrior for a 2 hour b2b session for the ages. One of Melbourne’s finest Roots selectors, Ricks wealth of knowledge and understanding of Reggae and Sound-System culture is second to none, and will be digging deep in the crates for this one!
We are delighted to have Melbourne’s queen of Jungle ‘C:1’ joining us for the first time! Get ready for some serious 160-170bpm heat, stepping up with badman Tamen to close out the night.
Last of all repping Modern Hypnosis and Bare Vibes, Babylon fall residant DJ’s Stormn Norm and Mystik Music will be holding it down, going b2b for the first time since the first Babylon Fall.
Dub-plates will be cut, the sound will be tuned, vibes will be high.

EXHIBITION OPENING: 5:30pm – 7:30pm 21 January 2019
EXHIBITION: 22 January 2019 – 9 February 2019
Unzipped features pun-tastic miniature dioramas by Melbourne street artist Tinky who brings her humorous work from the laneways of Melbourne into contemporary boutique Lord Coconut in a titillating exhibition. It celebrates Melbourne’s Midsumma Festival and diversity in all its glory (holes) through a unique world of miniature proportions”.
The exhibition ‘Unzipped’ comprises tiny occupants that exist simply to amuse. Often finding themselves in questionable scenarios, each miniature character persists with a juicy adventure with unwitting wittiness – they know nothing other than fruity folly. Each diorama is complemented by a bawdy narrative that provides comical context.
Artist-in-residence at Melbourne’s Blender Studios and installation street artist, Tinky, works with miniatures and found objects, typically making use of gritty street landscapes in urban environments, where laneway fixtures, or missing bricks, become home to humorous dioramas.
