Phil K has been a great friend to many people around the world, but it is here in his home town Melbourne that he made the biggest impact on the lives of so many people. Both his music and passionate loving character pioneered the way for not only a culture but a true sense of community that goes with it.
This is why we are now asking that community to band together for what is the greatest gift that we can give back to a person that both inspired and enriched so many lives.
Last July Phil K was diagnosed with terminal cancer, we have attached a written statement to our event page by Phil if you would like to know more about what trials and tribulations he has fought to stay with us today. In brief, we almost lost him and he is only here today because of his determination and positive manner that he holds within himself.
Together we can help prolong Phil’s life by helping him financially. There is a new treatment that can extend his life however it comes with a hefty $20,000 bill (per year) So let’s help Phil and let’s make it fun to do with a wicked party with the biggest local lineup that Melbourne has ever seen in the one venue to not only raise money and awareness to this heroic story but also celebrate that he is still here with us.
The event we are hosting we predict will raise one year of medication but through the go-fund me page we can raise more.
Spread the word and let’s see what this beautiful progressive community can do to help one of if not one of Australia’s favourite DJ’s and personalities.

M.C. Escher was inspired by Johann Sebastian Bach’s classical compositions and the repeated tessellations in his works echo Bach’s musical repetitions. The program includes pop-up performances and soundscapes for audiences to enjoy alongside dining in the NGV Gallery Kitchen.
A residency program of Melbourne DJs perform each month in the NGV Garden, with the series featuring ambient dance music duo Albrecht La’Brooy in December; the pop stylings of Eilish Gilligan (DJ Set) in January; and the good-time record collection of Pjenné in February. Indian Summer performs across March and Wax’ o Paradiso features across the final Friday and Saturday night performances in April. In the NGV Garden, the 2018 NGV Architecture Commission by Melbourne architecture practice MUIR and landscape architecture studio OPENWORK will be on display alongside stone sheep grazing, crows pecking and a horse galloping as part of Julian Opie. The NGV Great Hall will also function as a lounge, where audiences can settle in and soak up music from the garden.
Tickets for NGV Friday Nights provide late-night access to Escher X nendo | Between Two Worlds, showcasing the extraordinary work of Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher in dialogue with the work of acclaimed Japanese design studio nendo.
Seamlessly presenting the worlds of one of the 20th century’s most recognisable artists and one of the 21st century’s most inventive designers, Escher X nendo | Between Two Worlds features more than 150 of Escher’s most renowned prints and drawings from the collection of Gemeentemuseum in The Hague, presented in an immersive exhibition space designed by nendo, alongside never-before-seen work from the design studio.
‘Offering access to Escher X nendo and the garden afterhours provides the unique experience of art, music and unforgettable Friday nights at the NGV this summer,’ said NGV Director Tony Ellwood AM.

JACK THE HOUSE: ORIGINS
VENUE: SYDNEY CITY 5km
After ten shows at our original club venue, Jack is venturing out into the wild.
Jack The House: ORIGINS headlines the pioneers from the golden era of house and techno in Sydney.
It’s a rare treat to hear Phil, Simon, Biz & Mark pull out their favourites pre-1995 and for this Jack The House, expect those classic acid house & early techno records that shaped the dance music of today.
Phil has played music for people in clubs, bars, warehouses, fields, forests, deserts, basements, car parks and bunkers around the world for more than twenty five years. He was voted Australian DJ of the Year at the DMA’s and twice voted into DJ Magazine’s prestigious list of the world’s Top 100 DJs. Continuing to be a major influence in 2019, Phil shoots up and down the east coast continuously, playing S.A.S.H, Subsonic, Mad Racket, Revolver, Falls Festival & Splendour in the Grass.
Simon keeps himself free to draw on his varied loves of deep, soulful house, techno, funk, jazz, electro, booty, hip hop and anything else which catches his ear. A DJ since the early 90’s and as resident/co-promoter of the Sydney institution that is Mad Racket, he’s responsible for keeping Sydney well-versed in underground house and deep flavours.
Biz E is truly one of Australia’s pioneer techno DJs and Pete has been a key player since the mid eighties. He has a deep passion for the artform and as a producer, his records have been charted by the likes of Dave Clarke, Ben Sims and Derrick May; which is testiment to the quality of his production work. Fresh from just being signed to Detroit’s Transmat label, Biz will take the genre by the horns and dish up those meaty tracks that kicked off 90’s techno.
Jack The House founder Mark Dynamix (S.A.S.H, Cafe Del Mar, Electronique) will support our special guests on the night with a selection of vinyl that stands up as the best examples of music from that early period.

“A lucid dream is the ability to become conscious while dreaming.
A fully lucid dream is engaging, rich and visually detailed.
Your mind sets the parameters of the dream world, inhibited by no physical laws and only the limits of your imagination.
Anything you conceive of can come true.
Once you control the ability to become lucid in dreams, you will discover a strange new world
an entire universe where you are the master, manipulated at your whim with the power of thought.”
On March 29 open your mind to the possibilities of Lucid Dreams.
Join Contact High and let your consciousness and unconsciousness collide.
Lose yourself and open your mind to the psychedelic music, visuals, art, dance and atmosphere.
Lucid dreaming is a strange new world – you are invited, so come on in.

‘GAG ORDER ft. FRANÇOISTUNES’ is the latest single from R&B powerhouse Thando. It comes ahead of the release of her next EP “Life in Colour”, expected for release in October, successor to 2016’s highly revered “Digital Love Letters”. The song has already stacked up a stunning 27k Spotify streams.
Being launched across a huge upcoming festival run that includes performances at WOMADelaide and Byron Bay Bluesfest, ‘GAG ORDER’ is Thando’s own powerful expression of internal and black community monologues resulting from the systematic cultural assimilation and subsequent ostracism of black lives in her community.

Comprising magical re-interpretations of all the Basement Jaxx floor-fillers, as well as specially commissioned new work and a few surprises along the way, the show will also feature legendary Jaxx singers Vula & Sharlene Hector on powerhouse vocal duties.

Comfort Care Foundation Fundraising Dinner
Here at Comfort Care Foundation our vision is to bring comfort, hope and Benevolent relief to disadvantaged groups in Australia and Tanzania including young people with disabilities, the poor and homeless.
We will be having a three course sit down dinner with entertainment from the dancers of the studio of performing arts, a singer and a band as well as a presentation and raffle draw with lots off goodies.
We will be having a surprised special guest attending.
We are trying to raise much needed funds for a homeless house opening in between June and August, to help as many people as possible.
We are also building a school, providing free education and rehabilitation over in Tanzania.
We strive to do our best at helping all types of groups with poverty, support groups, mums playcentre get togethers, nutritional and budget support, men, woman and children involved in domestic violence and much more.
