LUNAR | INTERVIEW & GUEST MIX | RESONANT FREQUENCIES

Resonant Frequencies returns to the Kiss Airwaves this Friday 16 november from 11:30pm until 1am. We will be joined by another very special quest, a little lady that needs no introduction in the psy trance scene here in Australia. Please welcome ‘Lunar’ aka Ebony Keegan. She is an extremely versatile artist, playing multiple styles of psy trance under Lunar as well as projects in other genres of electronic music. She will be playing two sets consisting of different styles on Friday and we are extremely excited for her to share some wonderful sounds with us.

“On a celestial path to find her place in music, Lunar has travelled many light years from home to share her glistening sound. Her astronomical adventure stretches far back into her childhood where she once found herself on an interstellar journey to regain her confidence and hone her skills as a musician. Her sound, like iridescent lights display a spectrum of colours shimmering and changing as she illuminates the way with her musical touch. The story of Lunar is one of destiny and wanderlust, it is a yearning to create, reflect and mirror life’s radiance through the sounds she creates. Join her on this interplanetary experience as we reconnect with what was one lost, now found.

Lunar is a Melbourne based DJ and aspiring producer. Her musical journey began at the age of 7 where she began playing the piano, dabbled with guitar and followed not long after with writing her own lyrics. Ebony found the psy trance scene only 6 years ago and it was then that she discovered how she wanted to share her passion for music; through DJ’ing , music production and live performance.

In an extremely short period Ebony has established herself an edition to the psychedelic scene on both a muddy bush dance floor and in a sweaty nightclub, playing alongside both international artists and local heroes around Australia. After completing a diploma in Sound Production at SAE in Melbourne she continues to hone her skills as a DJ/ producer and aspires to go beyond by transforming sets that create explosive movements on the dance-floor through unique and creative sounds.

On a mission to bring something versatile to the scene Lunar in known for shining her light in the darkness during the peaking hours of the night laying down chunky full on psychedelic sets however can also flexibly play progressive sets to cater to the night as well a psychedelic chill sets which she recently debuted on the Chill stage at Rainbow Serpent Festival 2018.

She’s following her musical path to share her passion for music with an expanding, enlightened community of love, light and joy. Flying solo through the wild sky, Lunar is still at the beginning of a long and exciting journey, keep an eye and ear out for her upcoming performances and original productions.”
