RYAN CUSHEN | INTERVIEW | TALKING TUNES | THURS 9AM

This week on Talking Tunes I have Ryan Cushen coming into the studio.

Ryan is an extremely creative and inspired producer, having released music under eight different aliases in a plethora of genres. In the past he has been billed for iconic Victorian festivals such as Yemaya, Maitreya, Babylon, Tanglewood, and Earthcore: from house and techno, to DnB or psytrance – he has produced and played it all. His aliases are: Deltoid Curve, JRUM, Hype:Ratio, Sine Language, Party Possie, Anxpsyety, Meloncolony, and airDnB.

Not just limited to the studio and decks, Ryan also owns Potassium Music and Neptunium Records. A creative with a holistic set of skills, he continues to grow a portfolio of stage designs and art installations – working with leaders in the field of projection mapping and lighting.

He first used a synth in the early 90’s at primary school – an interesting story like many others we’re going to hear. Ryan has continued on an obsessive curiosity about electronic music and the way it is made, I cannot wait to learn about what has influenced and inspired him over the years.
