For this week’s edition of Talking Tunes, we have Everest coming into the studio from Sydney. A Canberra native originally, Everest’s early influences were the old school trance tunes of the mid noughties. Through his journey, Everest’s tastes evolved, leading him to fall in love with techno, disco and house. Despite the complete shift in his taste in genres, Trance is still a big influence on his current sound, with breathtaking melodic progressions and catchy grooves remaining a staple of his sets.
Having been DJing for 8 years, Everest has been lucky enough to play in a variety of clubs, festivals and parties across Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. His versatility, experience, and ability to cycle through a multitude of genres ensures that his sets are never stale, and we’re excited to have him in the studio to talk about the music and sounds that inspire him.
