Event Details
Blue Music Services is proud to unveil The Blueprint Project – a new artist development initiative created to support and spotlight the next wave of emerging Australian dance and electronic artists. Officially launching today, the project is now open for submissions, with entries closing at 5pm AEST on Friday 30th May.
Built to offer real, tangible industry support beyond surface-level exposure, The Blueprint Project provides one artist with a career-defining package that touches every key area of artist development – from PR and strategy to visual identity, A&R feedback, live performance and mentorship.
At a time when Australians stream more dance music per capita than any other country in the world, the electronic scene continues to thrive at both a grassroots and global level. But for many emerging artists, the gap between making great music and getting heard is still vast. With industry resources often directed toward established acts, The Blueprint Project aims to shift that focus – offering essential infrastructure and professional guidance to help rising talent break through. This initiative recognises not just the cultural importance of supporting homegrown music, but the global opportunity that exists for Australian artists pushing boundaries in electronic sound.
WHAT’S IN THE PRIZE PACK:
The winning artist will receive a full PR and marketing campaign from Blue Music Services, designed to strategically amplify their profile and music in the electronic space. They’ll also receive two pairs of professional audio grade Sennheiser headphones – the HD 490 PROs for production clarity, and the iconic HD 25s, trusted by DJs worldwide.
Artist development continues with 1-on-1 consultations from respected industry experts: Gabe Bravo (Cloak Ent) will offer guidance on artist management, while Sarah Hamilton (Golden Hour) will consult on release strategy and distribution. Visual identity is covered with a bespoke packshot design by Josh Hart-Vrijkotte, and the winner will also receive personalised A&R feedback from renowned Australian producers Luude and Anna Lunoe. As part of the prize, the artist will also receive a set at an Untitled event, providing invaluable stage experience and audience exposure.
JUDGING PANEL:
Submissions will be reviewed by a carefully selected panel of industry professionals known for their influence across electronic music and beyond. This includes Tom Cameron of Ableton, Kailyn Crabbe of triple j, Jane Slingo of EMC, and Jack Colquhoun from Mixmag, and Jess Phillips from the Untitled Group.
Whether your sound leans into club-ready bass, left-field electronica or high-energy dance anthems, The Blueprint Project is here to champion the next generation of Australian electronic artists.
HOW TO APPLY:
Applications are open now via shorten.so/blueprint-pr, and close at 5pm AEST on Friday 30th May.
To be eligible, applicants must be Australian citizens or residents and must not be signed to a record label. See full terms and conditions via the submission link.
This is an exciting opportunity for emerging producers, artists, and electronic acts from across Australia to get the industry support they need to take their music to the next level. Whether you’re a solo artist, part of a collective, or pushing boundaries in electronic production, The Blueprint Project is designed to connect you with the tools, networks, and mentorship to advance your career.

The Barden Party, is back with their signature blend of humour and heart, transforming ‘Romeo & Juliet‘ and ‘Macbeth‘ into unforgettable experiences full of music, mischief and magic in a special Shakespeare Double Bill.
The team brings its usual fun-loving spin to R&J filling Shakespeare’s most famous play with its general hilarious, heartfelt antics. Set as a modern-bohemian romance put to Kiwi and Australian music you love, and that you’ve never heard before… You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll dance the night away.
Plus the award-winning, internationally touring Macbeth is coming to Melbourne. With humour, heart and live music, this bold reimagining blends Shakespeare’s dark tale of ambition and betrayal with a cheeky bluegrass twist – Shakespeare like you’ve never seen before!
These aren’t your average Shakespearean plays. Come see what all the drama’s about – your recovery may take some time.

🎬 Kwasi Presents – THE SCORE: Outstanding MISFIT | An immersive live performance where cinema collides with sound.
THE SCORE: Outstanding MISFIT blurs the line between stage and screen, music and memory. Guided by moody visuals and raw, unfiltered sound, this isn’t a show you simply watch — it’s one you fall into.
Flickering like a fever dream — this show is part stage, part screen and all feeling.
Prepare for an immersive and moody, theatrical experience that fuses storytelling, sharp lyricism, and cinematic visuals. With popcorn in hand, you’ll witness a story unfold — as Kwasi takes you on a journey through his latest project ‘Outstanding MISIFIT’, portrayed through music and screen.
🎤 About the Artist
Growing up in the Australian countryside, Kwasi developed a unique relationship with his creative process, finding solace and belonging within his craft (Clash, 2024). Described as ‘alt rap,’ Kwasi’s music is driven by creativity and raw storytelling. Immersed in skateboard, film and music culture in his early years, his lyrics and production reflect a deep admiration for the hip-hop, punk and indie genres. Kwasi has honed his distinctive sound through collaborations with various artists, such as Congrats (Ben Stewart of Slowly Slowly) on the 2022 release Self Sabotage, produced by Hamley. The track draws upon raw emotions, encapsulating Kwasi’s thrash aesthetic. His 2018 song Aura Glow, featuring Allday and Gracelands, pushed artistic boundaries and earned streaming accolades across Spotify and Apple Music. 2023 saw the release of Ready to Go and POISON, both receiving airplay on triple j, with Anika Luna praising, “Don’t know what I was expecting from this single but holy moly this is great! Kwasi is charged up and packs a punch!” These singles marked a pivotal moment in Kwasi’s career, sparking demand in the UK and the Philippines. This led to performances in Hackney, Brighton, Manila, and Cebu — with support from radio stations Y101FM and Magic Manila. Following his international performances, Kwasi released his 2024 single LIT!, produced by Sydney native Tasker (credits: Huskii, Danté Knows, and Gold Fang). The single gained traction in the UK market with support from Clash Magazine and Earmilk, further cementing Kwasi’s rising global presence. Q1 and Q2 of 2025 has brought about the release of singles Motions and Gold On Her Tongue, landing him features in Apple Music’s ‘New in HipHop’, ‘Aussie Hip-Hop’, ‘The New Australia’ and ‘New Music Daily’ playlists. Marking the first releases of the year from his upcoming debut Album ‘Outstanding MISFIT’.
“Continuing to rise with each release, Kwasi’s latest offering is an exhilarating cut that once again pushes up against the confines of genre and allows him to showcase his artistry within an engaging soundscape.”
Vasili Papathanasopoulos – MILKY
“It’s a testament to his ability to diversify sounds and explore different elements of hip-hop.”
Henry Owens – Complex
“Growing up in the Australian countryside, Kwasi has developed a unique relationship with his creative process, finding solace and belonging within his craft.”
Ana Lamond – Clash
“Kwasi offers a captivating musical journey that leaves an indelible mark, merging poignant storytelling with an evocative sonic landscape that lingers long after the final note.”
Chris Lamaro – aaabackstage
“Fusing soaring indie-pop with punch post-punk and soulful
hip-hop flows”

Micro and macro spaces unfold into an expanse of connective pathways, seclusive rooms and celebratory lairs. Inhabited by a collection of modern oddballs, Proteus builds momentum while meandering through life circumstances. With a postmodern deconstructionism point of departure, this peculiar world sets in.
Proteus is Co-Directed by internationally acclaimed artists Sage Bachtler Cushman and Hugo Oliveira. Their nuanced integration of circus, theatre, and movement creates a distinctive artistic dialect that evokes a visceral, intuitive response.
This production is supported by an exceptionally talented Creative Team: Costume Design by Miriam Robinson with wardrobe assistance from Melbourne Polytechnic Costume Design Students; Set Design by Barrie Michael Baxter (Baxter); Sound Design and Composition by Ian Moorhead; and Lighting Design by Lisa Mibus.
NICA’s third-year ensemble present their strongest character work yet, while showcasing innovative skills across double Chinese pole, hula hoops, aerial rope, teeterboard, roue cyr, and more. Their last production season sold out in the blink of an eye (Fall With Me, 2024) — so don’t wait.
NICA is Australia’s Centre of Excellence for training in contemporary circus arts and proudly one of eight national arts training institutes (Arts8).
