New boutique electronic music & arts festival to hit north east Victoria

A new boutique music and arts festival celebrating a diverse range of electronic music will be arriving at Winton Wetlands in north eastern Victoria next March.

Organised by  KISS FM’s own Mount Mike & Liam Kendall who both grew up in the area, Under the Nest festival will take place on 24-25 March 2018 and will showcase a range of underground electronic acts.

Under The Nest organiser Michael Tharratt (known as artist Mount Mike) says the festival will bring a number of talented artists and DJs from Melbourne along with local artists, market stalls and food trucks.

“Under The Nest will provide an opportunity for local residents to immerse themselves in the best of the underground music scene in a stunning location,” Tharratt said.

“Our crew of organisers all grew up in or near Benalla and we are excited to be bringing something different to our hometown.

“We will have a strong focus on the natural environment of Winton Wetlands and its links to our native flora and fauna and indigenous history through various art installations.”

“The event will be open to all people of all ages and we are really looking forward to a magical day and night where attendees can enjoy camping in the beautiful nesting ground site.

“As an all ages festival, we will be focussed on creating a safe and secure environment with people under the age of 18 needing to be accompanied by an adult.”

The full musical lineup will be announced in the coming weeks with a limited number of early bird tickets going on sale for just $30.
