ANNETTE CHANG | GUEST INTERVIEW | FORUM | LEE-ANN JOY | MON 8:30 – 10 PM

This week on FORUM we are delighted to have artist and gallery director, Annette Chang.

Annette holds a 2012 Bachelor of Arts and a 2014 Master of Fine Arts from RMIT and has exhibited nationally and internationally since 2009.  Annette has completed International art residencies with the Poh-Chang Academy of Arts, and the Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi (RMUTT), Thailand, where her work has been purchased and held in public and private art collections.

In 2014,  Annette formed a group of RMIT alumni, to provide a support network for artists and their work. After a year of group activities, herself, along with five other artists from the group opened Alternating Current Art Space, to provide a contemporary platform for art.

In its third year, Alternating Current Art Space has exhibited over two hundred artists across its five gallery spaces.

As a sculpture and installation artist, Annette examines the cycle of consumer spending in society, by using recycled items as a metaphor for materialism.

Join us on FORUM, Monday 8:30 – 10 pm to talk to Annette about her life, her art and being the director of a successful contemporary art space.
