Inarguably one of Australia’s biggest house luminaries, Melbourne native Janette Pitruzzello also known as  DJ JNett.

She has been spinning records and creating heat in Melbourne’s music industry since the early 90s. Having previously presented ABC’s legendary live & dance music TV show ” Recovery” .

DJ JNett has played a significant role in influencing and inspiring her community through local media; a consistency which has spanned throughout her career to her soulful & eclectic radio program on Melbourne’s PBS FM .

JNett’s boundless crates of wax & supreme turntable technique spans seamlessly throughout deep house, techno, funk, soul, disco, dub, reggae and hip hop which has won over infinite types of audiences. An integral fixture in Melbourne’s club music scene, JNett’s priceless years of digging dedication saw her become the ears behind the counter at the iconic Central Station Records. This has also lead to her launching “I Get The Music” . Janette’s heavyweight knowledge and sincere love for music, met with her euphoric stage presence, continuously leaves dance floors hugging, smiling and sweating.

She’s warmed up crowds for the likes of Frankie Knuckles, Theo Parrish, Moodymann, Danny Krivit, Sadar Bahar, St Germain & Floating Points, Larry Heard and Peggy Gou. Educating the audience with impeccably curated selections that resonate throughout every set.

2016 sees DJ JNett show a whole new set of skills in production and composition with her debut EP WILDLIFE , out via Maurice Fulton’s BubbleTease Communications.She continued the WILDLIFE moniker through her residency at the ” Toff In Town ”  which saw an array of wonderful guests such as Patrice Scott, Alton Miller, Rahaan and A Guy Called Gerald to name a few.

Forward ahead to now, 2023 and DJ JNett has a new title of Music Director at the now infamous Melbourne Music Room, a small and intimate room dedicated to a wonderful record collection, beautiful analogue sound gear and a carefully curated weekly rotation of local and international guest djs.

DJ JNett is not only a master of her craft but also a true ambassador for the Melbourne music scene, pushing boundaries and setting new trends with every set she delivers.
