RICHIE HAYNES – EAU DE GROOVE | SPECIAL GUEST | 2PM WEDS 26TH AUG 26

Eau de Groove with Lili Joy welcomes Richie Haynes to the show, bringing nearly two decades of soulful, deep and classic house to the airwaves.

A Sydney-based DJ and the creator of c2eMusic, Richie has been shaping dancefloors since 2007, and his sound has only grown warmer and more assured with time.

His sets blend soulful, deep, and classic house, built on warm basslines and uplifting vocals that keep a room moving without ever losing its groove. It’s a style rooted in the sounds he grew up on, refined over years behind the decks across Sydney and beyond.

Richie currently hosts a weekly show on Vocal Booth Radio, and spent over a decade behind the mic at Pressure Radio, broadcasting there from 2012 through to 2024 — a run that speaks to his staying power and his deep connection to the scene.

Beyond radio, Richie curates the ‘Back To’ event series, with two instalments already under his belt and a third landing this December aboard the Inception boat — a fitting stage for a sound built for open air and good company.

Sydney dancefloors will know him well from his regular appearances at Soul Of Sydney, Klubhouse, Night Safari, Boogie, Underground Jack and Larry’s Herd, as well as his run across the Spanish scene at the Vocal Booth Weekender. He’s also a familiar face at venues including Glass Island, Carousel, Civic Underground, Ivy Pool, LuckyCat, Tatlers, Ching-a-lings, Burdekin and Plaza Basement — and of course aboard the Inception boat, home to his ‘Back To’ series.

Behind the decks, Richie runs a versatile setup spanning Pioneer CDJ/DJM rigs, the Denon Prime 4 and Prime Go, and Ableton Live — giving him the flexibility to bring his sound to club, boat and outdoor settings alike.

Today’s guest mix is a snapshot of where that sound sits right now: soulful, deep, and unmistakably classic house, delivered with the warmth Richie’s built his name on.
