Nikkola Jay is an Australian vocalist with a love for lyrics. She began writing at a young age having published poetry at 16. Her desire to create songs lead her to study an Audio Engineering degree which she is set to complete this year. Her loud mouth and inventive way of words caught the attention of producer ToneE – the two have collaborated on a number of releases all of which have gained air play on Kiss FM.

Formulating a unique sound in the contemporary hip hop scene, Nikkola projects some serious attitude and 808 based vibes in her songs. Whist attending university she has achieved critical acclaim with her notable releases such as the debut Mun Mun in 2017. Formerly known as Cherry – Nikkola J has a flow and vibe that has been an innovative addition to the local urban landscape. She has since released multiple songs including Lambo and Lunatic in 2018 which caught radio time on Triple J and Kiss FM as well as making the Kiss Charts three times in 2018. There would seem to be no doubt that Miss NJ will be showing us more surprises with her unique talent in 2019.
