LEKTRK | GUEST MIX | 3PM FRIDAY 3RD AUGUST 2018

LEKTRK is a production crew writing electronic music of different flavours and styles within the dance/house/tech music genre.

Under the LEKTRK collective banner they form music to make any ass shake. The LEKTRK sound is like a blast from the past with house and tech steroids packing serious production muscle.  Listening to LEKTRK is like taking trip back – but riding in a gleaming futuristic melodic spaceship.

The first release appeared on Turnstyle Digital in 2013.  A few years on, they had achieved all they wanted to with their techno DigitalNightmare release, and was ready to move into more deeper, ‘clubbier’ musical avenues.  And so LEKTRK was born, which is now their main project.  Their combined production experience means that they are able to finish well-rounded production efficiently, constantly building a repertoire of classy dancefloor and mellow sounds all destined to wow the world.

The process was well on its way :  The dance world has its eyes on LEKTRK. The likes of Sander Van Doorn, Giles Peterson, Laurent Garnier, Gerd Janson, Michael Canitrot (Defected), Gorgon City, Ten Ven have showed them some love and played their tracks.

In 2016, having built up a repertoire of unsigned material and DJ ready remixes, they wrote their first album – a house and tech-house ode to their party roots.

Following on from their successful debut self titled album in 2017, LEKTRKs second album takes a slightly darker and more more club-focused journey. DEUX is epic and adventurous, plotting tricky yet coherent lines between techno, slick tech, and progressive house. The emphasis on melody remains, but with deeper sonic textures the powerful basslines show a new influence introduced to their sound.

The first track, “Storm” has already gained attention locally in their hometown of Melbourne and has made a splash internationally, finding favour in clubs and online radio.

The second album ‘DEUX’ releases on 31-Aug-18 worldwide with an exclusive pre-release mix airing on 3rd August from KISS FM Melbourne.
