Catch LeFevre on Opendeck with DJ Veezee this Thursday 9:30pm 7th January
From the age of 12, Lefevre had his mind set on being a DJ.
He was introduced to pioneer DJ equipment at an older friend’s house at the age of 13, mixing trance, he quickly fell in love with beat matching and mixing.
As soon as he started working at the ripe age of 17, he was able to save up and buy some basic Citronic DJ equipment.
He started mixing a lot of Electro and Ministry of Sound type of House, which eventually caused him to fall in love with Melbourne Bounce and the minimal scene that was taking off in Melbourne at the time. He was influenced by such DJ’S as, Will Sparks, Joel Fletcher, Kalus, Samuel James and JDG to name a few.
He quickly started playing numerous house parties and was introduced to the club scene at 18.
Being a promoter at a local club called Green Apple in Mulgrave (Melbourne), he got close to the White Pony crew running the Saturday night, and scored his first club set.
From there it took off, playing clubs all around Melbourne, including Billboards, Platform 1, Room 680, Circus Bar, Club Pandora, and Empire to name just a couple.
He started producing Minimal/House using Ableton at 24 years of age, which soon led to a 2-year residency at Marrakech Nightclub in Melbourne.
With 2020 being a terrible year for all, his hoping to make a comeback in 2021 with some fresh new tunes and a positive outlook.
