Chicago’s very own James Curd began his musical career in his hometown at the ripe age of 15; finally making his way to Australia, which is where he now calls home.

Curd is currently releasing as on respected labels Classic, DFA, DFTD Defected, Dirtybird, Exploited, Ministry Of Sound/Astrix, Play It Down, Repopulate Mars, Sweat It Out, Trax Records, Tsuba. Curd has also recently remixed for the likes of PNAU, Midnight Magic, Poolside, Kaskade, Groove Armada, Flight Facilities. In reciprocation for his stellar work on these tracks, Curd’s music has also been remixed by great artist like Claude VonStroke, Camelphat, Sonny Fodera, Denney, Poolside, Juan Maclean, Felix Da Housecat, Doorly, Treasure Fingers and Derrick Carter.

As a respected original Chicago house DJ, James has also recently been asked to remix a 4 track EP for S&S records, including some of Jamie Principles most famous tracks, which will be released in early 2019.

Curd regularly graces the decks at some of the world’s most respected clubs with an energetic approach to his DJ performances. From Fabric in London, The Avalon in Los Angeles, Home in Sydney to The Arches in Glasgow. Not to mention playing on impressive lineup of festivals including Park Life in Australia, Lollapalooza In Chicago, T In The Park in Scotland and Electric Picnic in Ireland.

Curd also produces under additional alter ego names to allow him to create a wider range of music, including Greenskeepers and Chez Moon. Greenskeepers in particular has gained Curd huge industry respect through the successful release of four full length albums.  

In addition to his already impressive resume, four of Curd’s songs have been featured on Grey’s Anatomy; while others have appeared on T.V shows such as C.S.I Miami, Point Pleasant. His music can also be found on multiple Hollywood blockbusters including What Happens In Vegas and the hugely successful animation The Incredibles, plus the world famous video game; Grand Theft Auto 5.

There’s no slowing James Curd as he continues to consistently release ever evolving music by pushing his sound to new lengths. With more collaborations in the works, releases on the most exciting current labels and tour dates forthcoming at the world’s best venues, be sure to keep an eye out…
