Claustrophobia? Not a problem when you float
One of the most common apprehensions we hear about trying floatation therapy is that individuals who have claustrophobia are unable to enjoy the numerous rewards that floatation can offer.
Floating in the zero-gravity environment generate the exact opposite feelings that claustrophobia can bring on.
First-time floaters are often surprised at how spacious the pods feel once settled inside
You are by no means restricted, and the choice is always there for you to pop the hood open and step out.
If at any time you feel uncomfortable during your float, there is an emergency button that will call the attention of one of our staff who will come and assist you. You have full control over the lighting in the pod with a button at your fingertips.
The Magnesium-dense, buoyant Epsom salt solution in the tank sits at approximately 25cm deep ensuring sinking is an impossibility. You are also able to sit upright and will likely have a lot more personal space in the pod than you would imagine.
The most important thing to remember when you’re anticipating conquering your fears and trying floatation therapy is you are always in control of the environment during your session. If your claustrophobia is more closely related to a fear of the unknown, then maybe all you need is to float with the lights on in the pod until you are comfortable enough to lay without them.
If you are curious about trying it for yourself, feel free to call us with any of your questions or better yet, stop by the Water Temple and have a look around.
