Gradi has been making music for 5 years now, it started when Gradi and his classmate wrote a rap song for his class back in Africa. Growing up Gradi wanted to become as influential as some of his idols 2pac and Michael Jackson, it seemed the only way to do was to create music. Gradi was born in Congo then moved to Kenya at the age of 2 years, his parents were in choirs and uncles played a lot rap music which later spilled into his musical direction and how he would approach tracks. Since moving to Australia Gradi has more to offer musically, after discovering and drawing inspiration from artists like Lil Wayne, Drake, Kendrick Lamar and Stormzy. 2018 has been stamped for Gradi to release his first official single after signing with ALIA Records.

“I Do Not Play” is an anthem that represents hard work and reaching your dreams even when people think it’s farfetched. It’s the perfect song to debut as his first official single to showcase what he is capable of bringing to the Hip-Hop scene. Growing up in a small town Wodonga, Gradi feels no one strives to accomplish their goals and “I Do Not Play” is a testimony to those who doubt what they can achieve if they worked hard to their goals.
