First captivated by electronic music in the late ‘80s, it’s Thad’s passion for electronic music that has kept him involved in the industry so long, a passionthat started with an instant addiction to buying vinyl some 30 years ago.
It wasn’t long before Thad was running techno events, namely the weekly “Quasar” and “Deep” club nights, “Mind Expansion” and “Beyond/Frank DeWulf” series of parties across Melbourne in the early ‘90s.
Fast forward to the year 2000. After a decade of promoting events and playinghouse parties, Thad finally took an opportunity to play some club gigs – a fewfill-in spots at Q Bar Melbourne on Sunday nights. 20 plus years later hecontinues to play his driving progressive and techno sounds at clubs andfestivals worldwide – Rainbow Serpent Festival, Piknic Electronik Melbourne, The Block Tel Aviv, G-psy Caravan Stage at Boom Festival 2018, The Glade Lounge at Glastonbury Festival 2017, Carl Cox’s Playground Stage at Burning Man 2015, Celtic Chaos Castle at Burning Man 2015 & 2017, Stargazer Burning Man 2017, Babylon Festival, Mind Sub, Sunset Island and Bhima The Dragon at Burning Seed, Eclipse 2012, Half Moon Festival, Lost Paradise, Guys Bar and Eden Garden Koh Phangan, Tribeadelic, Happy Daze, Psyland, Revolver, Wildwood, Morning After, Festival X and Where The Wild Things Are to name a few.
Thad’s ability to craft a seamless journey – whether it’s a warm up or peak time set – has seen him play alongside a diverse range of international acts over the years, most recently including Thomas Schumacher, Boris Brejcha, Indira Paganotto, Subandrio, Cristoph, Third Son, Pig&Dan, Solee, Gui Boratto, Perfect Stranger, Vini Vici, Infected Mushroom, Extrawelt, Super Flu, Budakid, and K.A.L.I.L.
