KARL BULOW | INTERVIEW & GUEST MIX | OPEN DECK W JAKE BROOME| THURS 8:30PM

Tune into OPEN DECK w JAKE BROOME this THURS from 8:30PM for KARL BULOW.

Karl Bulow has seen it all. From humble beginnings in 2015 as a busy at the now famous Narre Warren Nightclub, Empire, witnessing the likes of Shortround, Sammy La Marca and Eliza Brayshaw develop their craft on a weekly basis, Karl put together his secret passion for music to work.

Starting out making playlists for friends, with music that they’d hear in the clubs; but could never find. This quickly transitioned to learning the art of mixing live and with the help of his friend John Ashby who was already entering dj competitions, pushing him to move from mixing on virtual dj to club standard cdj 2000s.

A turning point came in late 2016 when Karl would discover the world of Tramp Jungle, a place where he’d finally discover his sound. Karl would spend countless hours tracking down music from his time spent at Jungle and would help develop a sound that was unique to him. This would lead to the now well known and received “The Sounds Of 6am King Street” mix, which would in turn help a new generation of Melbourne Djs find their passion for djing.

Using his presence in the exclusive Tramp scene, Karl went onto create a mixtape series titled “The Sounds Of”, featuring various djs he believed in. The night is still young for this Melbourne Dj.
