Artist Bio :

Leaving behind his rookies status, German producer, DJ and record label owner
Dennis Sheperd has long said goodbye to his newcomer title Grown to be a key player in the game of electronic dance music, the Berlin based Trance and Progressive enthusiast is ready to take the lead and look forward with innovative ideas, genre – bending music and a relentless amount of energy.
With his ‘A Tribute To Life’ label thriving, his second artist album ‘Fight Your Fears’ given a warm welcome and gigs all across our planet, Dennis Sheperd Looks nowhere else but ahead.
Setting the tone :
Originally from Essen, Germany, Dennis kicked off his career in 2007 – the year he set the tone with his ‘A Tribute To Life’ original. Not only did the track turn into a big hit, supported by all major DJ’s in Trance land, it also became the musical embodiment of his credo.
The beginning of his story. And astatement underlining his unconditional and positive outlook on
life itself, empowered by music. It drew the attention of Euphonic Records founders Kyau & Albert, who signed the promisingnewcomer to their label. After a bright start, being described by industry giant Gareth Emery as‘one to watch, he made the scene watch indeed. Original track ‘Black Sun’,
as well as collabs with tyDi and Cold Blue saw Dennis Sheperd climb up and prove the audience he was no one hit wonder.
In 2010, Dennis won the ‘Best New Artist’ award in his hometown Essen, inspiring him to finalize his debut album, aptly named ‘A Tribute To Life’. Released on High Contrast Recordings in 2011,
it brought Sheperd fans the ever popular anthem of ‘Fallen Angel’, which shot straight to #1 on
Beatport’s Trance chart.
His sound caught the attention of Talla 2XLC, Ronski Speed and Markus Schulz, who all signed up for a collaboration with the rising star.
Rocking the crowds at A State of Trance events in the Netherlands and Bulgaria, mainstage
at Germany’s Nature One and Mayday festivals and travelling from one club to the next,
Dennis Sheperd had made his grand arrival.
Not a destination :
An arrival, but certainly not a destination.
Dennis isn’t one to be resting on his laurels. 2014, 7 years after his breakthrough, marked another important chapter in his career. The launch of his A Tribute To Life record label.
Setting forth his credo and turning it into a go to place for not only his own productions,
but those of rising talents and established names as well. No formulas, rules or trends
apply on the outlet and despite trance being the cornerstone of his label, it’s far more open minded
than just that particular sound. To showcase his new adventure, Dennis also launched a brand new
radio show of the same name. ‘A Tribute To Life’ is broadcast the first Monday of the month, on
Digitally Imported’s Trance channel. Including interactive features, exclusive new tracks and a cutting edge selection of music, it is a monthly highlight to numerous Trance and Progressive fans out there.
New goals :
The very first release on A Tribute To Life was Dennis’ collaboration with singer/songwriter Chloe
Langley, ‘Bring You Home’, which received a very warm welcome by the scene and turned out to be
the first single of a brand new artist album. And not just any. ‘Fight Your Fears’ released in April
2015, would become the very first fully crowd funded Trance album.
After an intense 3 years in the studio Dennis set himself a high goal to crowdfund an entire artist album on Pledge Music. A big risk, but proven worth it.
The goal was made Including 10 brand new originals and collabs, along with chartbusters such as ‘Bring You Home’ ft. Chloe Langley, ‘We Are’ ft. Sylvia Tosun & ‘Where I Begin’ ft. Katty Heath, ‘Fight Your Fears’ shows the growth he’s been through as a fully fledged artist
