This Saturday join us on the show from 12 midday for a Dub Wars ‘May The Fourth’ Special with Lego from System Unknown & Attila from Rudi Sound.

We have been wanting to dedicate a whole show to the local sound system culture in Melbourne so set your blasters to stun this week it will be a true takeover of galactic proportions.

Lego is a consummate professional with a deep understanding of various musical genres, and is a master in the roots reggae and dub space. Also running multiple quality nights as a co-founder of TOVCH Ent, BASSLINE MELBOURNE, NUFF RESPECT AU and a member of the mighty SYSTEM UNKNWON SOUND Lego has music running through his veins.

Atilla told us the initial idea of Rudi Sound was conceived as it’s supposed to: after a few beers at one of the Forward Ever gigs. He still remember’s the moment of realization, “why don’t we have a soundsystem?”
John and Attila finished building the soundsystem by mid 2023. Massive thanks to Adrian from Adrian’s Wall for his guidance throughout the build.
Our first gig was at Bar303 in Northcote and that’s the place we call home ever since. We were lucky enough to support Dennis Bovell (UK) last year and have monthly gigs at Bar303 this year.
The main genre played on Rudi Sound will always be the UK/EU style roots reggae, dub and steppers but we enjoy some jungle at the end of our gigs too. We’re aiming to collaborate with local artists and other soundsystems to keep building the community.
