Anthony Thanos first got into mixing at the age of 16 and hasn’t looked back since. He has been influenced by and has always looked up to his older brother – who is a big name in the industry both in Australia and overseas. Having played with some of Melbourne’s bigger DJ names such as John Course, Adam Bartas, Miss Peta, Dean Paps, Miles Jnr, Spacey Space, Chardy, Aaron Trotman, Luke Mcd, DJ Jorj ( DEFECTED RECORDS), Lewie Day, Andy Murphy, Sunshine & Mark John as well as supporting and warming up for International Artists like Kaz James, Yolanda Be Cool & Flight Facilities. Anthony is now studying audio production at SAE Institute.
Thanos’s style is unique and has a way of luring peopleto the dance floor for a serious boogie. His sounds vary from set to set and can include disco, funk and house and all the sub genres.
Inspired and Influenced by the heavyweights of House such as Frankie Knuckles (who he had the pleasure of meeting in person in Melbourne NYD 2011), Todd Terry, Mr Fingers, Farley ‘Jackmaster’ Funk, Ralphie Rosario, Marshall Jefferson, Larry Levan, Nicky Siano, Steve Hurley, Francois K, Ron Hardy Derrick Carter, Jamie Principle, DJ Pierre, DJ Sneak, Roy Davis, Jr., Mark Farina, Paul Johnson & Lil Louis just to name but a few.
Anthony used to Host a show on KISS FM in Melbourne from 2010-2015. The show showcased International and Local DJs/producers.
Show guests included the likes of Kaz James, Richard Dinsdale, Crookers, Timo Garcia, Malente, Marc Romboy, George Morel (US), Arturo Garces (US), Pete Le Freq (UK), Tony Wardan (AUS) and others.
