Melbourne-based music producer ‘Breaking Cycles’ is an electronic artist.

Bending the rules of your common electronic dance music – Breaking Cycles has incorporated styles in sub-genres such as Trance, Techno, and electro in his work.

He has also had past experience in the Melbourne Trance music scene under his alias Jaruda playing at venues including Room 680 in 2015 and doing a short tour with Mind Matter Atlas alongside other Melbourne up-and-coming Trance DJs.

In late 2016 He stepped away from 4/4 music and created his experimental alias Magenta Sound where he created music that was offbeat and unusual to the norm & incorporating his own visual art using 3D based software.

In April 2018 he was noticed by an electronic label ‘Pegasus Music’ which gave him the opportunity to broaden his horizon under Magenta which signed his song ‘Deep Blue’.

From 2018 – 2020 Breaking cycles finished his Bachelor’s degree in audio engineering & Diploma in electronic music production at SAE Institute Melbourne.

Coming close to the end of his degree in 2020 he formed the name you all now know as Breaking Cycles. On the 8th of May 2020 Breaking cycles ‘Shapes EP’ was signed to the label ‘Emotive sound’.
