Expect the unexpected, or what’s old is new again. It’s a house, beats, breaks, electro, pop, synth, old skool flavour thang, or so says Shuffle. Originally from London, UK, Shuffle is his latest moniker after plying his trade during the early days of the UK rave and hardcore scene before spinning for a few ‘underground’ radio stations broadcasting to those in the know. Skip forward a few years, and monikers, and he could be found spinning house in NZ, playing at The Ministry and other Auckland haunts. A few gigs later in Thailand and Melbourne, playing a mixture of old and new house, he took a hiatus from DJ life to focus on music journalism and working with the crew at Melbourne’s original dance station, Kiss FM. A career change to exercise and sports science along with 3.5 years of studying towards a PhD and been damn time consuming. But guess what… he’s back, with a new name, a new vibe, a new club night, and that can only mean one thing: Shuffle time.
