Getting lost in deep, hypnotic, minimal grooves is the primary force behind Val York’s track selection. She promotes authenticity & embraces the darker corners of electronic music.

The first roots of her musical discovery began with artists such as Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, Japan & Visage. Val’s link to the dance scene was when she was given a CD called “Chicago House Mix” by her father which became infused with her love of Acid House & Techno. Having an eclectic taste in music, she infuses subtle fragments of her influences into her own music, and enjoys going on a journey of sound with her audience.

As an active Sydney artist, Val York celebrates all forms of artistic expression with her community and is not afraid to push boundaries.
