Hey I’m Ben (aka Beniking), Im originally from a little place in the UK called Portsmouth, down on the south coast.

I started DJing about 15-20 years ago, My mates mum bought him a pair of Technics 1210s and I used to buy records and go round there and try my best to beat match.  When you  finally get something going after a few months of practice it was such a buzz and it all stemmed from there! That buzz still makes me love mixing with records today and the whole process of digging and finding gems is magic.

I moved over to Melbourne 7 years ago now and call it my home. I love the music scene here. There is so much going on with the local artists and tons of gigs to choose from even though there has been some venues closing since I’ve been here.

Some of my fav local DJ’s and producers would have to be CC Disco, Eddie Fisher, Mike Gurrieri & Harvey Sutherland to name a few. My big influences would be people like Kerri Chandler, DJ Funk, Mark Farina, Jeff Mills, Terri Francis to name a small handful  I LOVE PLAYING RECORDS and that what I’m gonna do!
