The Modern Hypnosis show invites one of Wellington’s up an coming underground bass producers on to the show for a live mix in the studio in preparation for his set this coming weekend at Kindred Studios.

Scent has been producing ambient, bass, techno, dubstep music in the depths of Aotearoa for almost a decade, keeping it fairly private and allowing it to be played when he gets behind a sound system that will portray it properly. The top of the South Island has seen Scent express his sound in the appropriate environment, Playing bush doofs throughout the summer months. Now based in Wellington, Scent has a back catalog ready to be unleashed.

Scent will be showcasing his sounds along with influences at Kindred Studios 3/12/16 for Bloom AV’s next major event.

“Once again we will be projection-mapping our geodesic screen alongside the Echo Chamber Sound system. It will provide the canvas for a range of audio-visual performances from some of our favourite frequency manipulators covering both ends of the spectrum.

A selection of our own collaborative works will also be presented throughout the night, featuring video footage of organic textures, along with hand-drawn illustrations, mapped onto geometric worlds that react to audio in real-time.
