Ordia was first exposed to electronic music in the early 90s and fell in love with dance music before really understanding what dance music was. Jam & Spoon, Orbital and Underworld were very early and very significant influences over his musical journey. He became fascinated with DJ’ing and desperately wanted to learn – even resorting to using tape decks and CD players (with no pitch adjustment) to try and master the craft, unsurprisingly to little success!

Everything changed in 1997 when a good friend invited him to attend a party at the Docks in Melbourne. Upon entering a mutual friend’s house for recovery the following morning, he walked into a lounge room with an extensive record collection and Technics 1200s – he learnt how to DJ that day and has been collecting & mixing records ever since.

Immersing himself in the scene as a promoter for Hardware and Wetmusik, his love of the scene was driven by the music and the people that support it. Ordia has featured on numerous radio shows over the years, predominately on underground UK stations, but also local Melbourne radio and even hosting on KissFM in the late 90s.

While his musical taste spans many sub-genres, Techno has always been his core passion and of late has dominated his musical preference. His sets are often filled with driving, melodic, hypnotic and heavy synth basslines, yet uplifting and entrancing. You won’t find pretension or ego here, only a genuine passion for bringing you the best music possible.
