super excited to have miscmeg contribute a guest mix for contact this week!
miscmeg is a local DJ whose music rotates through a number of leftfield spheres. you can hear everything from floaty ambient pieces through to trancey chuggers in her mixes. she has the ability to create a real sense of space and mood in her sets – and I love the way she places disparate genres against each other both to contrast and work with one another.
I really loved the textures and atmospheres in this mix – here’s a little insight into what inspired miscmeg for this hour of music:
“I love making mixes based on certain moods or atmospheres. This mix came together over the past few weeks of lockdown and features some ambient, downtempo and a few vocal moments. I made it with the time of day in mind, I hope it’s a nice little morning journey.”
