JOHN FERRIS, Australian born Sydney based, has been headlining the biggest and most upfront house and techno events, clubs, parties, bush doofs and raves for 30 years. Always looking for something different, places where people want a performance that speaks something more than the tracks played – a seductive journey, a fun joke, something hard, a slightly dark passage and something very pleasurable – JF takes you somewhere else, whether you’re up for it or not! Known to play everything from techno to house and all types of trance through to hard dirty house music, psychedelic progressive house music and disco breaks.A lover of all things seductive that takes you on a journey, John will tempt you with any thing to get you moving your body in ways you never expected.

Headlining at major events including the likes of Big Day Out, , Def Qon 1, Sublime, Two Tribes, Transmission, Gatecrasher, Gods Kitchen, Sounds On Sunday, Slinky, Welcome NYE, Plastic events and many, many, more, JF has also played along side the worlds best DJ’s Fatboy Slim, The Prodigy, Timo Maas, Carl Cox, Paul Van Dyke, Frankie Knuckles, Tiesto, Blutonium Boy, Lucian Foorte, Chris Liberator, Mark Spoon, Taucher, Peewee Ferris, Underworld, Thomas Schumacher, Paul Oakenfold, Seb Fontaine and so many more we couldn’t list them all here. JF has staged events such as Gatecrasher, Slinky, Godskitchen, Plastic, ID world tours, massive FUN parties in the Horden Pavilion.

In Sydney he has played at all the Gatecrasher Australian tours (1998-2002), Slinky events (99-2005), Gods Kitchen (2001-02, 05), Big Day Out (1996, 2001,2003, 2004, 2006, 2008,2009, 2010, 2011), Two Tribes (2002, 2005) Welcome (2000, 2001) 25 of the Transmission events since 1998 as well as Ministry Of Sound Hard NRG tours from 2002 – 2007.

Along side Jason Midro, John mixed and toured the very successful Ministry Of Sound ‘Hard NRG’ series as well as the ground breaking Strictly Techno series for Sony Music / Dance Pool. John’s also run one of Sydney’s legendary club nights PLASTIC for 12 years. A regular at Resistance, Technique, Plastic Presents, Darkroom and Gr8 M8ts and much more. John has recorded tracks for Sony Music, Blutonium and Ministry Of Sound. John hosted his own radio show City Express – on 2SER FM for 10 years and won the inaugural Dance Music Awards (Australia) Outstanding Contribution To Dance Music. JF was also the music director for Collette Dinnigan fashion shows in Paris, LA and Sydney, the Sydney Opera House Vivid Festival bar DJ , and an occasional DJ resident at underground techno Technique, Sublime, Impulse, Gr8 M8ts and Plastic.
