DJ Cloudy Ku is a Taiwanese electronic music artist who quickly became one of the most talked about DJs from the glamour city of Taipei not to mention the whole Taiwan music scene.
Prior to her music career, Cloudy briefly worked as a model and fashion magazine editor. Not long after, she took to the stage for the first time in several underground clubs across the whole country and after a couple of years, gained recognition as one of the most respected Dj’s in the region. Throughout 2010-2015 she was a catalyst of the musical genres of Ambient, Dream Pop, Indie Rock, IDM, House and Techno, quickly growing her popularity through her diverse taste in music and has now gained interest from international electronic music labels in Asia.
Cloudy specialises in creating a unique hazy nightly party scene, sending the crowd on an amazing roller coaster ride through her exceptional tune selection from a very extensive back catalogue.
After her debut gig in Taipei, she attracted a lot of attention from the local fashion industry. From design communities, experimental theatre groups and the local indie music scene. She was often offered collaboration opportunities and projects from some of the most respectful and established artists from Taiwan.
Not long after the end of 2012 the buzz was starting to reach to some of the biggest local international music festivals and international electronic music touring artists.
She was personally handpicked for supporting slots by Red Bull Music Academy veteran Nina Kraviz, international German techno producer John Osborn, Berlin’s loop techno master Rødhåd, gender-bending experimental violent techno DJ Rrose and Hotflush Recordings boss British DJ Scuba to name but a few.
Cloudy also was one of only a handful of DJs to ever be offered the chance to play at one of Taiwan’s biggest festivals – Formoz (international headliners included the XX, Suede, Mercury Rev, A Place To Bury Strangers, Deerhoof, Nosaj Thing, Tokomonsta, Cassegrain, Emptyset and Eric Cloutieretc and many others).
Cloudy was recently voted as one of the most influential electronic DJs/musicians in the Taiwan Electronic Music Industry Bible – Ear Warms and was offered some of the most high profit industry events in town. She played at events for international brands such as Omega, 6 stars international W Hotel and Milk Awards. She also co-headlined some of the biggest electronic/dance music festivals in Asia, often with appearances at
