Eric Powell started DJing in Manchester, his hometown, in what was to become known as the Summer of Love. He went on to DJ at all of Manchester’s most important clubs including the world famous Hacienda.

Based in Melbourne, Australia.Eric has developed and established two event brands with Carl Cox “Carl & Eric’s Mobile Disco” and “PURE” with Carl and Richie McNeill. “The Mobile Disco” weddings, birthdays… not really 😉  tongue in cheek, but fun fun fun, this is Eric Powell and Carl Cox’s guilty pleasure, started off with the guys putting on a party for family and friends around ten years ago, had around 150 people at the first party, Jan 2019 was huge for the “Mobile Disco” with a ten thousand person sold out show at Melbourne’s iconic Myer Music Bowl. That little ‘get together’ has now grown into a Australian institution with Eric performing at some incredible and amazing scenic locations.

PURE –is no-nonsense techno and house, it has been voted the best event in Ibiza, well and truly established as the premier techno event in the Southern Hemisphere. Lets not forget Eric Powell’s music and food event “Hot Sauce”, started just round the corner from his house and at an amazing beach venue –this event has already seen Joey Negro, Sandy Rivera and Dimitri From Paris join Eric on stage. Eric Powell’s most recent studio project “MDFC” with Carl Cox – is an extension of their “Mobile Disco” event. MDFC or MD Funk Connection has been an eighteen month project working with some of the best musicians in the U.K., Australia and The States. Collaborating with Joe Roberts, GQ, Buffalo Brothers, George Clinton, Barbara Tucker, Cookin on Three Burners, DJ Spen, Claire Lomulder…The Album is due out in 2021. Bush records is still very close to Eric’s heart with focused and solid releases from new and established artists –regularly hitting the dance and techno charts. Eric went viral with 108,241 views–so far, first time Pete Tong read out the Essential mix.
