Mizbee | In Depth Interview | Wax on the Wire show | 15/4/18 | 10:30am

Mizbee
Mizbee is a northern singer/song writer, hailing from Newcastle.
Her first releases stem back to 2004, with signings from Forensic records and Saw Records. She moved to London in 2012 to follow her dream and hooked  up with Jansons on ‘Addiction’ (Lower East) with the mighty MK on remix duty. In 2014 she leant her warm vocal tones, to the boys from ‘I said no’ and released ‘Come close’ on Sister Bliss’s label, Junkdog records.
Fast forward to 2017, and fellow Geordie, Mark Jenkyns got in touch to collaborate. The outcome was ‘Reach for me’ (Suara records). With her now being Jenkyns ‘go to’ vocalist, they created their signature tune of the summer ‘Sirens’ which earned them a number 1 in the house chart and number two in the beatport 100. The track was a firm favourite from the likes of Solardo, Jamie Jones, Waff & Richy Ahmed and was blasted out from DC10 all the way to Miami.
2018 brings her most exciting year yet as she’s in the process of finishing her first album and anticipating the slick sounding EP which she features on with Jenkyns, on Hot creations, titled ‘Soulfood’.
