About the Show
Kickin’ It with Katija is KISS FM’s home for underground Australian hip hop. Hosted by Katija – the co-founder of RIPE Hip Hop and produced by KB.808 from Cosmic Bounce Records. The show is dedicated to spotlighting emerging talent from across the country, with a focus on raw, authentic sounds and untold stories.
Katija has built a reputation as a passionate community leader and curator through her work with RIPE, creating platforms that give local artists the space to be heard, seen, and celebrated. Now, she’s bringing that same energy to the airwaves.
Each week, listeners can expect high-energy interviews, exclusive track premieres, live freestyles, and deep dives into the artists shaping the culture. From the beats to the bars, Kickin It is here to champion the next generation of hip hop voices — unfiltered, unapologetic, and uniquely Australian.
Whether you’re a long-time hip hop head or just discovering the scene, this is the place to tap in and turn up.
