For the next Visceral Radio show, BKS is very excited to be back on the tools in the studio himself. Having been the driving force behind Visceral Radio since day one you will have heard his voice over the airwaves but he still hasn’t fully introduced himself and talked about his background.

The back story….

BSTKPT_SCRT is a Musician, Composer, Curator, Radio Presenter, Promoter, Booking Agent and Music Culture Enthusiast.

Born and shaped by the surroundings and local traditions of North West London, BKS grew up in a very musical household.

Owing a lot of his early musical influences to his Dad who was a talented Jazz and Rock guitarist and music collector. Having access to an eclectic record collection from an early age, really helped build a foundation and create, almost a parallel world to escape into.

Growing up in 90s London, the Dance Music scene was at its peak. It has been described similarly to a religious movement. Radio 1’s Essential Mix was the Holy Grail (where he went on to have several of his productions featured) and dark sweaty nightclubs were like Church. In a time where music truly brought the world together, BKS had found his place in the world.

DJing/Artist Booking/Touring…

2006 was when BKS officially started working in the electronic music world. Playing, Booking & Touring the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Sander van Doorn, Fergie, Annie Mac, Stephan Bodzin, Timo Maas, Mauro Picotto, Chris Lake, Deadmau5, Tall Paul, Brandon Block, Alex P, K.A.R.L, FRASE, The Viceroy, Gavyn Mytchall, Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Nick Warren, Above & Beyond, Erick Morrillo, Fatboy Slim, Danny Rampling, Armand Van Helden, Dennis Ferrer, Marco V, The Bloody Beetroots, Orbital, Smokin’ Jo, Judge Jules, Seb Fontaine, Fat Tony, Alan Fitzpatrick, Roger Sanchez, BK, Rob Tissera, Guyver, Benny Benassi, DJ Tomcraft, The Shapeshifters, Inigo Kennedy, Jimmy Van M, Will-I-Am, Sister Bliss and Maxi Jazz, Mylo and many more.

It is BKS’s adaptiveness, versatility and hustle that has allowed him to play for some of the world’s most respected institutions.

After relocating to Australia in 2012, BKS is now based in Melbourne, where he presents his weekly radio show ‘VISCERAL RADIO’ on Kiss FM Australia and has launched his own booking and artist development company ‘RELEASE THE BLOODHOUNDS AGENCY.’
