DJ Common AKA Christopher Harris came up in the scene through his six years spent co-running the long-standing techno series Static — hosting some of the most influential acts in modern techno such as Freddy K, D.Dan, and Blawan. Now stepping into a new chapter as a Director and booking manager at Solace, he continues to help shape the city’s dance landscape from behind the decks and behind the scenes.

As an artist, DJ Common is drawn to sounds that are deep, dubby, and immersive. His style leans on basslines as anchors, weaving long and gradual blends that flow between energies with subtle precision. The result is a hypnotic yet driving journey. Eager to bring different genres into the fray, he is always willing to delve into techno, house, bass, and dub to help build and encapsulate those listening or dancing.
