Kiss FM host and music photographer Michelle Grace Hunder, along with project partner Claudia Sangiorgi Dalimore announced the outcomes of their huge 2 year project this week.

Independent art makers and longtime friends, filmmaker Claudia and photographer Michelle teamed up to shine the light on females in Australian music.

The initial concept for Her Sound, Her Story came from observing the constant conversation about gender inequality and imbalance within the music industry and the arts in general. Combining faith in the power of art with the importance of storytelling, the project was born.

Michelle and Claudia’s passion and drive to document these women is not only to celebrate their achievements, but to inspire future generations of young women to achieve greatness themselves.

Launching at Melbourne Music Week, we pay homage to the trailblazing pioneers in Australian music, and shine a light on those cultivating such an incredible landscape today.
