Since launching his solo career in 2022, Sem Jacobs has rapidly managed to put his stamp on the house music scene. He has gained acclaim for his infectious tunes like “Blue Berries” (2024) and “Une Nuit À La Cour” (2023). In his music, Sem Jacobs blends a recognisable house sound reminiscent of the 90s with elements from the many genres he grew up with. It results in rich tracks infused with influences of disco, funk, salsa and jazz, to name a few. He received broad attention in the scene with the release of “Pass Me The Wine Please” and “Jiggy Jerry”, with both proving in high demand in clubs and at festivals.
On the stage, Sem Jacobs made his debut for No Art in Amsterdam in the spring of 2022. This was soon followed by a performance at the iconic Printworks in London for the 10-year anniversary of Solid Grooves. It was not until 2024 when Sem Jacobs definitively became a household name in the industry. Hit single “Blue Berries” together with Tagmann dominated charts and dancefloors all over. Dubbed ‘the anthem of the summer’ and ‘the tune of the year’ by many, the track amassed over 30 million plays across all platforms. The track was quickly picked up by radio stations across the globe, eventually leading Sem Jacobs to be invited to record the prestigious Peak Time Mix for BBC Radio 1. An accomplishment all the more impressive given the song was launched on his own imprint. The aftermath saw him debuting in several countries spread over three continents, numbers that are bound to increase. He performed his first Latin America Tours in November of 2024 and February of 2025, after first crossing the pond two years earlier.
As of 2025, he boasts 1,000,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, joining a select company of elite producers in the scene. Sem Jacobs completed his first UK Tour in April of the year. It was soon followed by the release of his new tune “I Don’t Mind” featuring Esra Nuray, which has left listeners with a pleasant, lingering aftertaste. Up next is his first Oceania Tour, as well as his first North America Tour in the middle of the year. Numerous other big debuts are ahead. These include the legendary Tomorrowland Festival in Belgium, but also Ibiza venues like Pacha and Hï. 2025 will likely see the star of Sem Jacobs continue to rise.
