*ONLY TWO WEEKS TO GO*
WORLD ELECTRONIC MUSIC COMPETITION AUSTRALIA

WEMC Australia follows a hugely successful European launch in 2014, which saw the prize winner embark on a world DJ tour through Las Vegas, Dubai and Ibiza, and release their debut single international release on Sister Bliss’ label Junkdog.

The judging panel for WEMC is made up of artists and industry experts including Sydney producer and Triple J favourite Kilter, head of A&R for etcetc (home to Kilter, PNAU, Luke Million, Paces and many more) Aden Mullens, leading EDM duo SCNDL, Ministry of Sound A&R Dylan Sanders and Studio 301’s Ben Feggans – who are all on the hunt to uncover the next untapped talent to join the ranks of Australia’s electronic music elite.

On offer for the Australian prize winner is the opportunity to produce and engineer records in Australia’s premiere studio facility Studios 301, an international release through Ministry of Sound Australia, and gigs at two of the southern hemisphere’s most iconic clubs including Pacha Sydney and a premiere Asian venue.

The prize also includes some of the latest studio equipment and technology from Native Instruments, one-on-one mentoring from two of Australia’s leading electronic/dance acts, plus advice from label professionals and studio experts.

Tom Grant from SCNDL offers his tips on what they are looking for from budding producers entering the competition: “We’re really looking for creativity and uniqueness in production and something that’s not what we’ve heard before. It would be awesome to hear something that’s a bit different and out of the box.”

Submissions can now be made via www.famemusic.com/au  with voting open to the public.
