Felipe Monroy, known artistically as ‘Monroy’, is a Colombian DJ and producer whose musical journey bridges continents, genres, and cultures. Based in Melbourne since 2019, he has carved out a sound shaped by deep, progressive, tribal, house, and techno influences, bringing rich textures and emotive energy to his sets.

Felipe’s career in music began long before his move to Australia. Since 2006, he has performed as a drummer across a wide spectrum of projects, from symphony orchestras and rock bands to tropical and aboriginal music groups. His path also led him behind the scenes, where he worked with Onbeat, Feel Entertainment, and Scene Group in Medellín, helping to stage large-scale electronic events and shaping the city’s vibrant nightlife.

Since stepping into DJing, Felipe has played regularly in Sydney and Melbourne, with standout moments that include supporting Tim Green. His dedication to evolving as an artist is reflected in his debut EP Goosebumps, a collaborative project that captures the emotion and depth of his sound.

In addition to his work as monroy, Felipe has launched INPUT, a project that explores ambient music and sound frequencies designed for meditation and mindful spaces, revealing another layer of his artistry and commitment to connecting with listeners in meaningful ways.
