MARK DYNAMIX BIOGRAPHY

Mark Dynamix has been a pioneer in the dance music industry for almost thirty years; selling more albums than any other Australian DJ to date. He started his career in the early 90’s, becoming resident DJ at the legendary Sublime. He has also played the Boiler Room at the Big Day Out multiple times, guest hosted Triple J’s ‘Mix Up’ over a period of 15 years and performed the world over including Berlin’s mammoth Love Parade. More recently he has played alongside icons Faithless, Boy George, Joey Negro, Chicane, Paul Oakenfold & Miguel Migs.

He label-managed industry heavyweight ‘Ministry of Sound Recordings’ in Australia & his ‘Annual 2006’ compilation became the biggest selling Australian compilation of all time; selling over 350,000 physical CD copies. He has always championed a diverse music selection and breaking new ground is vitally important to him as evidenced throughout his career. That success & his fluid approach to mixing has cemented Mark at the top of his profession and this year he celebrates that achievement by releasing his latest album: Archival (Opening The Vaults).

Bringing together for the first time all his original works, remixes for other artists and numerous unreleased demos; Archival (Opening The Vaults) demonstrates all the musical influences that have flowed through his veins over the years. His effortless transition through multiple genres proves what a prodigiously gifted producer he is and achieves that perfect symmetry of a legacy of work that also speaks to future possibilities. August 2020 saw the Amplification/Destructor EP go live, whilst the Archival: Remixed full length album’s release date is October 2020.

Mark has always stood well ahead of the curve; continually delivering a new take on music whether via the stage or the recording studio. His successful ‘Jack The House’ and ‘Electronique’ events provide an historic musical narrative to new generations via a modern nightclub experience.

He presents two radio shows; ‘Electronique Radio’ focusing on 80’s electronica (syndicated to KISS FM), and ‘Jack The House’ (syndicated to Orbital Radio). His new venture ‘Big Night In’ is a live video stream once a month, pushing fresh new progressive and deep house. It is this passion and drive to share his ongoing evolution with fans that has underpinned his success.

2020 will see Mark once again in the studio working tracks for a new project with Xan Muller. His Electronique‘, ‘Jack The House’ and ‘Big Night In’ events will continue once venues re-open, and 2021 may see expansion into other states around Australia.

Mark Dynamix is eternally active in the music industry; forever building on his legacy and catering to an audience which expects no less. Be it in the Progressive arena; his nostalgic events of early house or rave; the freedom ride of Acid House and Chicago vibes; or, amongst new wave electro pop legends; Mark Dynamix knows how to curate and remix a set of music for any event. His continued success is testament to his abilities and the reason why he is so revered by both Australian and international dance floors.
