Maks is an 18 year old DJ and Producer from Sheffield, Yorkshire. He has released music on labels including Noctambulant Sound, Capital Heaven and most successfully on Citizens of Vice. His track ‘North’ reached a top 3 position on a Juno Download chart, and received DJ support from the likes of Nick Warren, Ralph Lawson, Sub Club’s Harri and Anja Schneider as well as radio support from Colleen Murphy on Worldwide FM, Rob Zile on Kiss FM and Polskie Radio.

Heavily inspired by the sounds of the 90’s, particularly the progressive sound as championed by Sasha & Digweed alongside many others. It’s also not uncommon to hear everything from Ambient to Jungle in Maks’ sets – he regularly cross genre boundaries.

“This mix I have recorded for Kiss is no different. It’s top and tailed by my own unreleased productions, and goes from ambient to breakbeat hardcore, with some leftfield sounds such as fellow Sheffield DJ ‘Porter Brook’ ‘s tune. There’s even an old hardcore track from 1993 – I draw lots of my inspiration from this period!”
