Come and party with Australian soul star Kylie Auldist & friends as they help The Corner Hotel celebrate 21 years of bands, fans and cans on Tuesday 14 November!

She will be joined by mammoth funk ensemble The Public Opinion Afro Orchestra – whose infectious Nigerian-inspired afro-beats are sure to get the crowd dancing. Opening the night is  – and Allysha Joy (lead singer of Melbourne band 30/70), who will fit right in with her mystical blend of jazz, hip-hop and soul.

Kylie Auldist is at centre stage of the funk, soul & disco scene in Australia. She’ll turn up the heat at The Corner with a mega set spanning her various tracks and records, including the smash-hits that shot her to stratospheric prominence overseas, ‘This Girl’ by Kungs vs Cookin’ on 3 Burners and ‘Ride Of Your Life’ co-written with UK house DJ/producer Marc Vedo (Boy George).

Kylie will also give fans a live taste of her new single ‘Body‘, the genesis of which was initially conceived with her live band. Taking their cue from pre-show DJ’s who’d set the night up with a mix of vintage & modern electro soul it was inevitable that any new material was going to be a fusion of everything from JT to the Time Bandits. With a shimmering DX7 keys intro and counter melodies from Luke Saunders Juno 106 and drums straight from Graham Pogsons (GL) Oberheim DX drum machine, this track continues Kylie’s on point exploration into 80’s soul.
