London-born, Kitty Amor has dedicated the last two decades to bridging the connection between Europe and Africa with her sound. A DJ, producer and founder of Mahaba Music, she has become one of the most recognisable figures in Afro house, building a body of work shaped by rhythm, heritage and an instinctive understanding of dance floors across the world. Her performances have taken her from Hï Ibiza, Fabric and Printworks to Glastonbury, Tomorrowland, Ultra Music South Africa and EDC. 

Kitty has released music through Sony Music, Warner Music, Defected, and Parlophone, while being highly praised for her official remix of London Grammar’s ‘Into Gold’ – and more recently Papa Wemba. Her productions, much like her DJ sets, balance depth with emotion, drawing on soulful vocals, hypnotic percussion and the musical traditions that have shaped her from the beginning.

Throughout her career, Kitty has remained committed to ensuring that the representation of her sound, heritage, community, gender and sexuality is at the centre of her mission. It is a philosophy that runs through every aspect of her practice, from the records she plays and the artists she champions to the spaces she continues to occupy.

Her work has been featured by BBC Radio 1, Resident Advisor, Apple Music, Mixmag and DJ Mag, while her documentary Who Is Kitty Amor? and collaboration with Nike have expanded her presence beyond the club. This year, she achieved billboard presence on London’s Leicester Square with YouTube for her release ‘Mean 2 Me’ with Ruger and Skyla Tylaa.  Rather than separating music from identity, Kitty Amor treats them as one and the same, allowing each performance to become an extension of the culture, community and stories that continue to shape her work.
