Keyboardist, composer, prolific studio musician and producer Ricck “Killah Keys” B., Brazilian born, living in Australia for the past 13 years is a master of all he purveys.

Killah Keys fluency in reggae, dancehall , hip-hop, afrobeats, latin styles mixtured with Jazz, RnB and Bossa-Nova has made him an indispensable fixture on the Australian music scene.

His ability to transcend a single genre has made Killah Keys a popular studio musician among singer/songwriters. He is always comfortable playing usually his two or tree keyboards, programming different layers to deliver unique sounds or even playing his Melodica alongside Sound Systems. Killah works as a composer and producer alongside Elie “JahWise” Ossais Studios in Victoria, Australia, Wayne “Lotek” Bennett in London, United Kingdom, On3 Studios (Collective) in Victoria, Australia and he has appeared as a sideman on over 100 recordings.

He has performed original music at clubs, concerts and festivals throughout Australia, South America and United States and also performed and has opened shows with different artists/bands such as Steel Pulse(UK), Third World(JA),The Wailers(JA), The Natural Order(AU), Jah Tung(AU), Nhatty Man(Ethiopia), Derajah Mamby (JA), Darrel Belle(Seychelles),King Ru (JA), Brazaman(BR), Damajah Dee (AU), Ras Jahknow(Cape Verde), Jhonny Ragga(Ethiopia), Royalty Noise (AU) and also with his project playing with a melodica alongside the biggests Sound Systems in Australia like Adrians Wall Sound System, Housewife’s Choice Sound System, Heartical Hi-Fi Sound System (UK), Solidarity Sound System(AU) and Echo Chamber Sound System

Killah Keys will be playing live alongside Adrians Wall Sound System this Saturday 22/4/23 at Forward Ever – A Celebration of Sound System Culture – at The Croxton Bandroom, Thornbury.
