Next week on Kickin’ It with Katija we’re bringing something real to the table.
We’ve got ALAN THORPE in studio — the man behind I Walk For Men’s Mental Health. An incredible advocate who’s been putting in serious miles, literally walking to raise awareness and start conversations around men’s mental health, with the mission to prevent more lives being lost to suicide.
Alan’s journey is deeply connected to music too — especially Aussie hip hop. From long walking playlists filled with local artists, to building genuine relationships within the scene, he’s been using music as fuel to keep going — and in return, the culture has been backing him heavy.
With the Australian hip hop scene being so male dominated, this is an important conversation for our community. Breaking stigma, opening up, and creating space for real talk.
He’s also been organising community walks that anyone can join — bringing people together, face to face, to talk, connect, and support each other.
And to close out the night… we’re turning it UP.
A lineup of local MCs stepping in for a live SPITFIRE SESSION CYPHER in studio.
This one’s powerful. This one matters. Don’t miss it.
