Kel Rhys is a Melbourne-based DJ, producer, and events manager who has been a driving force in the city’s music scene since 2009. Known for his ability to move fluidly between commercial dance floors and underground spaces, Kel has spent over a decade refining his sound and building a loyal following across Australia.
Performing under his own name and having performed under the alias KLN, he explores a broad sonic palette that ranges from funky jackin’ house to groove-laden tech house. His sets are known for their energy, musicality, and ability to surprise, often weaving in curveballs and future classics to keep dance floors fully engaged.
As a producer, Kel has released a steady stream of original music and official remixes. His collaboration with Rubber People on All Night was released through Safari Music, and more recently his tech house track Bumpy Ride dropped via Pomerania Musik in 2025.
Beyond the decks and the studio, Kel is the co-founder of Effect Entertainment, an events and booking agency that has helped shape countless parties and club nights since launching in 2011. His presence at venues like Pawn and Co, StoryVille, Kewpie, and major club nights like Tightarse Tuesdays has solidified his reputation as a consistent and versatile selector.
