On February 5th 2015, Fedde Le Grand cemented his name in dance music lore with GRAND – a stunning audio-visual performance at the Royal Theatre Carré in Amsterdam. The historic location played host to Le Grand’s theatrical masterpiece over a 6 date, back-to-back run; blending live vocalists, moving stages, indoor fireworks and acrobats into a grandiose spectacle, all to the tune of his exquisite musical selection.
With Le Grand the only producer or DJ to ever grace the stage of Carré, the packed out 1,000+ audiences witnessed history being made as no less than thirty Dutch Show ballerinas, live trapeze acts and a legion of break-dancers were all called upon to provide the extra special spectacle of the concert.

Premiered by world famous news-site Huffington Post, the picture-perfect video bottles the essence of GRAND into 6 electrifying minutes. Fusing together the old and the new, the beauty of traditional entertainment with the electrifying music of the modern day, Le Grand had this to say:
“I think lots of people were quite skeptical about what GRAND was at the start. ‘Dance music at a place where I watch plays?’ ‘You’ve got to be joking!’ Even I wasn’t sure it could become a reality. As we planned and things were added on I began to see the way in which we could create a truly dramatic live dance event that people of all ages and cultures could enjoy. It was a long process to realize it but I am so glad we did”
After months of painstaking planning, Le Grand and RTL Live Entertainment finally got the go-ahead to create a performance at the coveted historic venue. Honouring this history whilst simultaneously creating a new means for enjoying dance music was no mean feat, but with rigorous attention to detail and a deep respect for the venue itself, both Le Grand and RTL managed to pull off the perfect synthesis of old and new in the culmination of a truly dramatic live dance event. Speaking after what he witnessed, Final Kid said this at the Carré theatre.
“I’ve filmed on the world’s biggest stages and have seen many different and amazing productions from top artists. But a lot of these productions have the same ingredients like big LED screens, a lot of lights, lasers and pyro. GRAND was something different, much more theatrical an cinematic. Music is Key, but the (live) entertainment is just as important, making it fresh and an absolute pleasure for us to film.”
The after movie is scored beautifully by Fedde Le Grand’s forthcoming tracks ‘Miracle’ feat. Jonathan Mendelsohn and ‘Cinematic’ feat. Denny White – who made up the guest vocalists with Niels Geusebroek, Julian Perretta and Marcel Veenendaal of DI-RECT – the latter is now available to stream via Fedde’s SoundCloud after it’s MTV premiere:
