The longest running Worldwide DJ Competition “The DMC World DJ Championships” is back for 2017!! This year we are taking the battle to all corners of this Nation. 2017 will be the first year since the re-launch of DMC that all states in Australia will be competing. We welcome Northern Territory and Tasmania to the battle. DMC will be touring the country with Heats in every state this August. All state champs will land in Melbourne to battle it out at the National Finals on the 8^th September. The National Finals will broadcast live on Melbourne’s hottest radio KISS FM. We will also be launching the NEW DENON DJ VL12 Turntable at the National Finals with a performance from Total Eclipse of the World Famous X-Ecutioners (NYC).

DMC reached our shores in 1988 and gave many Australian DJs an opportunity to showcase their talents on a world stage. Many past Australian DMC Champs have made a long lasting career in this very competitive industry. DMC Australia is once again joining forces with the X-Ecutioner himself Total Eclipse and the crew is on the hunt to find the next Australian DMC Champion who will fly to London and represent Australia at the 2017 World DMC DJ Championships on 1^st October.

DJ Osyris of South Australia took out the Australian Championships last year, the first DJ from SA to win the Australian Title since Staen1 in 2003-2005. Let’s see if he will defend and do it once again. Many new talented DJs as well as established DJs will be entering in every state to take on their reigning state champion and fight for the crown. The state heats kick off with the VIC Championships on Friday 11^th August at Laundry Bar followed by TAS, QLD, ACT, SA, WA, NSW and NT.
