Angela is a Brazilian-born DJ and promoter with broad
experience and a passion for electronic music. Always the one to stand
out from the crowd, he has something special to bring to the decks of his
new home, Melbourne.
Known as a creator of a tight-knit community and a brand called Trench,
founded in Sydney back in 2013, Angela is well established in the rival city’s
techno scene. Over the years Trench has hosted a number of international
heavyweights including Inigo Kennedy, Dasha Rush, Pär Grindvik, Darko
Esser, Pfirter, Dino Sabatini, SHXCXCHCXSH, Reeko, Kangding Ray and
Bas Mooy, as well as many local and interstate DJs. Having made its mark
on Sydney’s Underground community, Trench is now also a three day bush
gathering.
During her sets, Angela focuses on thoughtfully curating and creating an
atmosphere for pulsating workouts. Thus, her track choice often features
intense and dark frenzies of head-spinning drones and experimental
sounds, its’a also heavy influence from progressive house and trance
melodies. The sets encapsulate untold stories, where calmer moments
shapeshift between instrospective-techno and IDM.
Through her work Angela remains unswervingly fixed on disseminating
quality techno to Australia and beyond
