Alex is coming to Melbourne this week as headliner for EAU DE GROOVE, the very   firs ever event of our Kiss radio show taking place at Killing Time on July 29th.

Musical influence 19 years years behind the booth has seen Alex cycle through many different energy levels of electronic music, from fast paced techno / minimal techno to your typical chilled beachside, boat life vibes , but throughout his time collecting and playing music he has always been drawn most predominately to house, all things house, micro house, minimal, rolling groovy house selections influenced by dubby breaks rhythms and warm positive housy synth lines.

Aiming to settle into a consistent groove but at times adding a slight touch of a soulful or hip hop oriented Vox samples or a uk garage influence Influence from International artists and labels DeMarzo, Sota, Margaret Dygas, Traumer, Mihai Popoviciu, Kiku, Meoko, Trommel, recorddeep, Dan Haas, Glen S, Brawther, Recordeep, R.M, A/B Sides, Politics of Dancing, Alex Kid, James Dexter, Subwax Distribution, Yoyaku, Fuse, Dr Bannana, Gene on Earth, Fred P, PIV, Chris Stussy, kolter Influence from Local Producers Litmis, Mike Witcombe, Parker Influence from Local DJs Cass Pitman Gabby Kelly Tee, Jake Hough, Danni B ,Jackson Winter, Marley Sherman, Dan Baartz , Robbie Lowe and Eddy Wells.

History Since 2004 Alex has had his hands in all areas of the electronic music industry in Sydney and Wollongong. In the early part of his involvement saw him coordinating events with international artists through event brands THM (a sole venture) and CAUSE (a collaborated event brand), and also trying his hand at organising tours.

Alex went on to coordinate a year of regular weekly bookings with many of Sydney’s local artists at one of Sydney’s most reputable bars, Stanleys Bar in Darlinghurst before handing over the reigns to S.A.S.H Legend Kerry Wallace. You can still find alex regularly appearing on the bill at Stanley’s Relations Alex’s involvement with stable promoters in both the club and festival world like S.A.S.H, Return it Rio, Subsonic, Waves, Biophillia, Tabularusa, Sutra, ect has strongly embedded him in the electronic music community which has encouraged his Contribution heavily to much of the behind the scenes work at many large scaled events.

Recently with heavy involvement towards the coordination of Secret Valley, a festival taking many by surprise in Mudgee on NYE 2022 and May 2023 Production The last 18 months has seen Alex deep dive into music production building and managing the S.A.S.H Studio, spending time with Mike Whitcombe aka Sun Archive who heavily influences his workflow. As he amplifies his focus on making music he is on track to release some of his own music in 2023. Watch this space.
